You know how you can’t bite into an apple when you have braces, or enjoy hard or sticky foods? This can be a frustrating experience when you first get your braces, especially if you are used to a certain diet and are interested in eating cleanly and freely.
The good thing is that you can still eat smart when you get braces–in fact, it’s recommended! Eating a healthy diet will help you maintain equally as healthy gums and teeth in the process. Here’s a list of clean, smart foods you can (and should!) eat when you have braces.
Fruits and veggies, sliced or blended

- Hearty, leafy greens like spinach and kale
